What is the product, how is it produced, how is it sold, who works there (critical), what is the history, what is the market, what are the company’s growth & profit plans, fixed assets, competition & competitive advantages, and that all-important sales & EBITDA history?
The book must be simple to understand and compelling.
You will hear that the buyer is buying the current performance not the future. That is BS—they want to assure that the company continues and has a good growth opportunity. This is a lot of work.
